As far as moving a group of animals four legs are better than two. Especially if those four legs move at 1100 RPM and are attached to “Chase” , our Border Collie who’s total obsession is about moving animals. Use hens to scratch though cow paddies looking for bugs and spreading the fertilizer while aerating the tender new grass chutes. Our horses and cattle act as giant vacuum cleaners as they graze the pasture grasses while ingesting the parasite larvae of the smaller species of stock. The larger stock are totally immune to these microbes and larvae die in the gut of the larger animals thus ending that cycle. |
Our Workers

One reason I always dreamed of attaining this profession is that I love working with animals. It is for that reason that I use the talents that nature gave each of the animals to the greatest benefit. Goats love weeds and weeds are highly nutritious. Let the goats be our herbicide while producing meat. Our pigs are our pork producing rototillers. In our rocky and stump laiden pasture clearings, the hogs till the ground while eradicating the noxious fern plants and preparing a nice bed for my grass seed. What better way to deter coyotes and black bears from an easy meal of chevon than a 110 pound guard dog who thinks the goat herd is his to protect.
